Looking forward to watching him play next year. From a tournament he played in this past week in South Carolina.

Man, I'm really pleased to see the explosive first step.  Hope he can play D so I get to see him on Al's court soon.

He looks like a more compact version of Vander.

Keep on keepin' on, Young Hill!

Edited slightly but agree with your above assessment.  Keep in mind this is a mix tape from just one weekend tourney - not a collection of a whole season of highlights.

I didn't realize Hill was a solidly built - thought he was a longer, thinner type player like Vander.  He plays with a MUCH better body lean than did Vander or DJO for that matter.  Both of those guys were upright, straight line speed type guys.  Hill looks like he'll be very good laterally and explosive off the first step.  Excited.

The one thing that stood out to me was his form when shooting.  Combine a good shot with that explosiveness and watch out!

I think his compactness makes him look more explosive, but Vander's explosiveness was pretty elite.

His shot already looks better than Vander's though.

I love to see his handle...especially the crossover. Will be able to get his own shot and help when teams pressure.

Speaking of next season, is Malek Harris now expected to sign with MU in the spring? Or is that simple unknown?

Not known.

It was just one HS level tourney, but I saw a lot there to like. He has an elite offensive game for a player his age. If he can play D at a decent level, he will get PT right away

Vander has records at MU in agility drills and such doesn't he?

Goose

Vander was pretty special athlete. Guys can be better players but will be hard pressed to find better athletes.

GGGG

I think Vander was one of the top performers in some of ability drills in the entire NBA combine last year.  Vander as a junior was pretty damn athletic.  If Hill can get anywhere close to that, we are in good shape.

Yes, I remember that now,  Vander came in first in a few of the agility drill times I believe.

Out of curiosity, in the history of mixtapes has there ever been a bad play, a missed shot or just general suckitude moment on a mixtape?

Probably has happened once...somewhere...sometime. But it certainly doesn't happen very often.

It's more likely that if a player isn't that good, you are going to have a very vanilla mixed tape

+1 - Great form on the 'J'. Really stood out right away.

51 second mark, 1:17 and 1:49...

Yet kid has turned out to be a pretty nice player at Iowa...I recall watching Juan's Mix tape compared to this kid and thought Juan would be better...

I don't think he knows how to mouthguard.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

Wow, this was about the worst highlight reels for a player I have ever seen. Good find, Ners
