Game day article from Omaha World Herald
« on: December 31, 2013, 06:20:56 AM »
Should be a great game.  Lots of energy from the crowd, and a renewal of an historical rivalry in the eyes of Creighton.

http://www.omaha.com/article/20131230/BLUEJAYS/131239858/1001#old-acquaintances-meet-to-usher-in-new-era-for-cu

By the way, don't bother reading Mikehunt's article today.  Its another lazy, piece of sh1t article from Mikey.  This article from Omaha is so much better in sooo many ways.  Mikey, try doing your job sometime.

Piv has been our beat writer for a long time now. He isn't a homer but he knows everything about the program (just released an outstanding book this past fall detailing a complete program history). While he can be lazy when it comes to secondary sports he is a fantastic basketball writer.

You're lucky.  Hunt can be a very good writer, but he chooses to mail it in more often than not.  He also seems to enjoy the negative spin, which is a lot easier to do versus doing some actual research.  This matchup deserved a much better write up.

Have to agree. I still frequent JSOnline daily to keep up to date on what is going on in Milwaukee and currently the only story linked to anything Marquette on the home page today is a story on the struggles of the Big East as a whole while there are two links to prep sports, women's sports, the Bucks and the Luke Fischer trasnfer. I would be very frustrated.

Nice article.  I hope this develops into a rivalry, but Creighton needs to be able to keep up on the recruiting trail to be competitive in the BE going forward.

Oh, and Mike Hunt (which I love saying three times fast) blows.  JS is terrible too.

I count on MUscoop to answer some basic questions for me on a gameday, and so far have not seen any definitive answers:

1) Is Creighton evil?
2) Should they be destroyed?
3) How many constitutes "multiple"?

1) It's hard to call your mirror-image evil.
2) Obviously they must be destroyed, regardless.
3) I will also need some clarification on this one.

Multiple constitutes more than one for those who are wearing mittens.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

I'm a workin' stiff today.  Gonna bail in a minute, take Mrs. Chili to a movie, and out for appetizers.  Home by 8:45 in plenty of time for the game!

I take it you'll be going to Chili's?
Only acceptable appetizer there is the southwestern egg roll.

It's an excellent article. I didn't even bother to check if Hunt wrote something.
