The froshpit has me dancing...holy sh@t these young men are improving every game. Clearly, in my scotch enhanced mind, this was the best all around game by JJJ and shows glimpes of what he can become at MU.   Deonte is just a beast already and his journey at MU will be a treat to watch for all of us.  Mr . Dawson showed signs and at the very least he is confident (as are Burton and JJJ).   Duane, with the reported purest shooting form on the team has not even played yet....yes...I feel good about MU hoops going forward!!!!

The next few years are going to be fun to watch, that's for sure.

I do agree that I liked what I saw, but both of them were a little more aggressive than I would have liked. Trey J forced some shots and Bane had some ugly TOs and fouls. But I did see improved defense from the both of them.

If they can play under control....they will be earning starters' minutes soon

I do know, Newsie is right on you knowing ball.

Liked the defensive scheme - extended defense, letting JaJuan in particular have his run of the floor to make plays.  Especially good for antsy talented freshmen who probably lack patience in the tight half court man.

I disagree - I love their aggressiveness on offense. Sure, they will force a few shots but I'd much rather have that than everyone being too timid as we were early in the season. I think their aggressiveness has set a tone as the more they play, the harder the whole team goes on offense.

One of the reasons Burton fouls so much is that he is involved in every play. Him and Juan are similar in that way.

Burton is the most aggressive player on the team, and it does get him in trouble occasionally on petty fouls/TO's. Once he gains more experience, he will be great.

Deonte has to slow down just a bit.   A couple of travels just because he was too excited.

They remind me of puppies.  You can see what they will become, but they occasionally do things that make you want to bat them with a newspaper.

Agree, but the game will slow down for him as time goes on. I love his aggressiveness on offense, has the scorers mentality.

I love his aggressiveness, too.  He just needs to pause for 1/4 second without moving his feet.

I'll take aggressive mistakes over tentative any day. Shows they believe they belong, which is at least half the battle.

It was the rare game in which we actually had a few steals leading to breakaway, easy points. I credit JJJ and Burton for much of that. (Juan, too.) It's been missing from our game.
