Just get to 20 and we'll be fine.  That said, I think we'll be fine...

ChicosBailBonds

In the old Big East, usually.  In this one, we'll see.  Hopefully.  Question is whether we can get there or not.

Rest of the league is playing well, should get 4-5 in.

Nova, Georgetown, Creighton, PC, and St John's?

Death on call

Winning doesn't matter, only need to avoid bad losses.  So if we beat IUPUI, Ball State, Samford, and don't lose the home games against DePaul, Seton Hall, and Xavier the season will be banner-worthy.

Galway Eagle

I think 22 is the big number.
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Those are wins?

forgetful

Win out in the non-coference to be 9-5.

Split with Nova, Butler, Creighton, Providence and Georgetown.  5-5

Sweep St. Johns, Depaul, Seton Hall and Xavier.  8-0.

Finish 22-10...get a 7 seed.

More likley right now:

--finish non-con 8-5, after loss to New Mexico.
--Swept by Villanova
--Splits with Butler, Creighton, Providence, GU, St. Johns & Xavier
--Sweep of Seton Hall, DePaul
10-8 conference

That's 18-13 and on the bubble.

MU82

Pretty sure that 18-13 in this conference with that few "quality" wins would result in the bubble popping.

Quite probably we will need to win the conference tournament.

I think 22 wins leaves us near or on the bubble.

Not better than NM right now. Not better than nova, Creighton or Gtown right now. So I'll say 20-11, 12-6, 1-1 in BET. 21-12. 20-14 two years ago got 'em an 11 (obviously a better league then), but they gotta fill the field. Reminding me very much of 3 years ago. Enough to sneak in, and then hope for the right matchups.

18-13 with 10-8 conference is not bubble. It is out. And don't be so sure of sweeping both DePaul and SH. Buzz needs to shake the lineup, and I doubt he does. What happened to the Buzz that started ducks like E. Williams and R. Smith for 3 minutes each half. Oh, they both transferred so maybe he learned something from that. Here now comes the Kool Aid.

We would have to go 2-1 in Big East tournamet to get on the bubble. It is hard to say what 20-14 would do, but I think we would be out.

One thing folks fail to recognize is how tough our non-con schedule has been this year to date.  2 losses to elite teams, 2 road losses. I'm counting SDst as road given the fact that our kids had been in motels for a week while our opponent brought their fans and maybe even traveled home for 36 hours.  Sure we have to get better.  But having watched most BEast teams, I still think we'll jell into a solid team by January.

18 wins is not bubble. It is solidly out. 20 is bubble, probably still on the outside looking in. I think 22 gets us in. Including the conference tournament of course.

Wouldn't be surprised if we were one of the last 4 in, with a play-in game. At this point I'd take it...

Those win totals are not completely arbitrary, but they're close (much like the original 20 cited).

GoldenBoy16

jeez guys relax were nine games in. Buzz will turn it around like he always does and everybody will say I told you so.

MaymonsPops

20-11 puts us on the bubble and there better be a few quality wins as part of those 20. Over/Under for bids in the league may be 3.5 this year. Not a great OOC start for anyone, outside of Nova. Still a few chances for big OOC wins for PC, Gtown, St John's, and Marquette though I guess.
