Yeah the organization does help the poor. Does ESPN? Besides how does the ad hurt you anymore than the other ads they run. Maybe you have a PC agenda like ESPN does. And believe me there are plenty of examples of their PC. Watch some of the analysts on ESPN editorialize frequently That is enough from me on this subject

It has nothing to do with being PC.  Absolutely nothing.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Going back to the original topic, this isn't as big of an upset as one might thing. NDSU was a top 100 team last year according to KenPom. They only lost 4% of their offense from last season. They had a rough loss against North Dakota but they will win the Summit and be a dangerous team in March

I would like you to name one major network that shows similar, overtly religious based ads like the one proposed for ESPN.  Just one.

And the answer is, there aren't many, if any, that would show such an ad regardless if it is Xtian, Jewish, Muslim, or Wiccan.  And the reason is that they don't want to do anything to alienate a good portion of their audience.

It's not PC at all...just good business.

Golden Avalanche

On topic, and sure to get lost, I was impressed with the Bjorklund kid from North Dakota State. Definition of a big ugly whose game won't win beauty contests but was wildly effective.

How has this thing not gotten locked yet?

Now ESPN is a left-wing PC orgainzation trying to suppress the poor, poor Christians, that it huh?

Amazingly, amazingly dumb.
If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

Yep, the X is a "shortcut" for the Chi-Rho symbol, a combination of the Greek letters for "Christ".   The X has a probably unintentional resemblance to a cross.  The Chi-Rho symbol meant "good" in Pagan Greek before Christianity, and was considered a "heavenly divine symbol" by Constantine.  So, next time somebody claims the X in X-Mas is a sacrilege, you can share the rich history behind its usage.

As some like to say:

Put the X back in Xmas!

"Guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism." - George Washington

"In a time of deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act." - George Orwell

This just in. ESPN overruled themselves and decided to allow the ad for a Catholic Children's Hospital. That from the network that runs ads for Obamacare. That's it huh?

Amazingly dumb. Now back to basketball. Hope the Warriots win tomorrow.
