Derek was solid for the first 15 minutes.   Second foul for him, as well as Ox, Otule, and JWilson, what little flow there was disappeared.   Derek can't carry a team or take over a game.   If everyone else is standing around, then he stands around.    Maybe Dawson can take over a game 4-6 weeks from now.   Not today.   tOSU is not Grambling. 

Yeah, he led 0 fast breaks despite the fact that OSU missed almost every shot they took. He also scored 2 points with no one guarding him for 15 minutes - his man was constantly back in the lane.

I don't know that Dawson is the answer - but Derrick is not. He is a backup worthy of 10 minutes a game.

JT cannot buy a hoop.  I've seen him play in person 5 or 6 times and I think he may have 1 or 2 buckets.  I've seen Frozena make more baskets than JT.
