Terrific News!   Go warriors!

Saw the team Wed. night walking through O'Hare on my way home.  I just happened to be wearing a Marquette shirt.  Talked to a few of them and wished them luck.  Seemed like pretty good guys.

Sounds like a very refreshing change from when I was there.  Also a huge change in on field performance since I was there, as they were the absolute laughing stock of the BE in soccer when I was there just a few years ago.

Haydn Knight was pretty good. He played in the NASL for many years. His brother Lloyd also played soccer at Marquette. Lloyd became a Naval Aviator Rotor Head. Gave me a ride once when I was on the Midway. Really good guy.

Yep, definitely remember them being beyond terrible.  Also remember hearing the uproar about Bennett "cleaning house" and "only playing his guys" in his first year or two.  Seems that was just part of the process of changing the culture from "laughing stock" to "national contender".

Providence upset Georgetown Thursday on penalty kicks, so they'll be Sunday's opponent.  MU won the previous matchup 1-0 in Rhode Island.
