Interesting .. although I really like the in-game upgrade where you can sit your arse down wherever you find an empty seat...

LetsMoveDown Announces Partnership with Marquette University
Innovative mobile ticketing platform to enhance the fan experience
at the BMO Bradley Center

WASHINGTON, DC—July 30, 2013—LetsMoveDown, a mobile provider of in-game seating upgrades and targeted fan rewards, has announced a partnership with Marquette University for the 2013-2014 season. LetsMoveDown will debut at the BMO Bradley Center on November 8, 2013 as the Golden Eagles host the Southern University Jaguars.

Fans at the BMO Bradley Center will have the opportunity to purchase better seats throughout the game on LetsMoveDown's iPhone or Android app and will be eligible to receive unique fan offers from the Golden Eagles. "Today, we are excited to announce a partnership with one of the premier basketball programs in the country," said LetsMoveDown co-founder Derek Shewmon. "Marquette University is a true leader in the Big East, and we are absolutely thrilled to bring LetsMoveDown to the Golden Eagles' fans this season."

LetsMoveDown's mobile ticketing platform will help Marquette sell leftover primary tickets and give season ticket holders the option to sell any unusable tickets to other Golden Eagles fans as in-game upgrades.  Aaron Parris, Director of Ticket Operations and Donations at Marquette University commented on the partnership: "We're excited to bring LetsMoveDown to our fans this upcoming season. We view LetsMoveDown as an innovative technology that will make the game experience more interactive for our fans and drive new revenue back to our program- a win for everyone."

The mobile ticketing app provided by LetsMoveDown allows fans to upgrade their seats and receive targeted rewards on their mobile devices while at a game. Through LetsMoveDown's partnership with Ticketmaster, the Golden Eagles will be able to integrate its Ticketmaster Archtics platform directly into the LetsMoveDown mobile app. "Our partnership with Ticketmaster will help Marquette create a seamless in-game experience," said Shewmon. "Integrating LetsMoveDown with Marquette's Archtics platform will allow the Golden Eagles to manage the in-game marketplace in real-time and on one platform."

This will be the first time ever that Golden Eagles fans at the 18,000 seat BMO Bradley Center will have the opportunity to upgrade their seats during the game on their mobile devices. The prices of the offered tickets will be adjusted during the game to provide the fans with better deals on upgrade seats as the game progresses. Fans that are interested in purchasing a better seat will have the opportunity to do so through the LetsMoveDown app and will receive a new ticket directly on their mobile devices that can be shown and validated by any usher at the BMO Bradley Center. In addition to in-game seating upgrades, LetsMoveDown's app will provide Marquette with the opportunity to offer customized fan experiences and rewards such as discounts on merchandise at the game.

Marquette's partnership with LetsMoveDown follows the upgrade app's successful launches with the University of Maryland and the Memphis Grizzlies during the 2012-2013 sports season. The Golden Eagles join a growing list of teams that will be announced for the 2013-2014 sports season.

Too bad the data signal sucks in the BC. If you select a seat upgrade after the anthem, your phone should get you confirmation by sometime around the 12:00 timeout in the second half.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

I tried entering my season ticket number and it didn't work.  Anyone else have that problem?  Too soon?

My account says inactive after entering the number too.  Guessing it might take a little while before this gets rolling.  And you're right Benny - the signal is awful there.

Good to hear!  Was worried they didn't receive that last payment.

I suppose it's a win-win-win in theory: LMD gets commission, MU sees a cut of the re-sell revenue, and fans can get better seats.  I'm guessing in practice this will be done about four times on a good day.

I liked the old way better.  See an empty with 8 to go in the 1H, it's yours.

Oh, and get off my lawn.

Is that a jailbreak app or just jailbait?
