Notre Dame offers scholarship to Snoop Dogg's son

In wooing four-star receiver Cordell Broadus, Notre Dame heeded the sage counsel of the player's own father: Game Don't Wait.

The son of rapper Snoop Dogg, who is still just a high school junior, now has a scholarship offer from the Irish. Broadus' high school coach tweeted the news out Thursday.

"Cordell Broadus was offered by Notre Dame today," Diamond Bar (Calif.) High School coach Ryan Maine wrote on the football team's Twitter account.

Famous bloodlines aside, the 6-foot-3-inch, 186-pound Broadus has established a name for himself in recruiting circles. He is a four-star prospect in Rivals.com's Class of 2015 rankings and reportedly has offers from LSU, Nebraska, UCLA and USC among others.

Broadus had 38 catches for 513 yards and seven touchdowns as a sophomore for Diamond Bar High School.
