I admit I'm guilty of it, too, but Trent Lockett's senior season seems to have just came and went. Because the offseason news was hot and heavy right from the get-go we didn't get to break down Lockett's one year in the blue and gold. So how good was he, really?

Good article, Strotty. Some of the comparisons to earlier wing players were especially interesting.
I would disagree, though, that his brief career came and went without much buzz. I think the majority of posters here and elsewhere recognized the contributions of Mr. Lockett particularly in the last half of the season. Even more so upon post-season reflection. Many of his contributions went "beyond the numbers".

Good to see him get a workout with the Bucks as well.

BTW, perhaps it's time for the MUScoop mods to acknowlege Vander in the news bar above, in addition to Junior and Trent.

Trent played in many areas as a true veteran, but his game on the offensive end was to say kindly average at best.  To many times he put his head down and tried to drive the lane, which
ended in a turnover or block.  He had an impressive jumper that he did not use enough and his 3 point shooting was average at best.  I was hoping for more on the offensive end, he showed signs but not enough consistency.  He did have some impressive plays during the year, but not enough.  At times, I wondered how he averaged almost 14 a game at ASU.  Came
on later in the season, to bad, he could not have has one more year under Buzz's guidance.  As a team player, I think he was outstanding, the other players bought in to him as a person
and player.  Good luck over in Europe,  he can have a nice career overthere.
