I mention this here only because of the article's/coach's emphasis of 'getting into the big ten' and, by default, out of the Big East.  Thought it was curious and wonder if other readers feel a little squirmy about hearing a coach want to get into another league right after our conf shuffling.

Hard to say.  Of course he's going to talk up the situation of his new school -- great conference, grea facilities, etc.

The question I'd want to know was whether it was a promotion...like from second or third assistant at GTown to lead assistant at Nebraska.  If so, not a big deal.  But if it was a "lateral" move to the same level within the new program, that could be problematic.

Then again, an NU assisistant just took a job at GU.

Alright good; thanks for the additional context folks.

So it was a promotion:  No job to job.

Who wouldn't jump at the opportunity to leave DC for Lincoln, NE.

Must have been a slow news day. Was anyone in the press concerned when Georgetown lost two assistants in 2007 to Mt. St. Mary's and SUNY-Binghamton?

Assistants move all the time--sometimes as a step up, sometimes because, well, they have to keep moving.

"He's been mostly with Princeton-style offenses," Miles said. "We're more motion where we pass and catch and move the ball. It will make him more well-rounded. And it's a different area of the country."

At least the first part makes sense.
