The Madness approaches

Sorry for the lack of blog postings of late. I'll begin updating regularly once again next week.

MU announced today its annual 'Marquette Madness' event will take place on Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. at the Al McGuire Center.

The event should be roughly the same as its been in recent years, with the highlights being the men's and women's teams scrimmaging and the men's team holding a dunk contest.

The only real change is that it's being held this year a day after the official start of practice, which is Oct. 12. Deputy athletic director Mike Broeker said the change from Friday to Saturday was made so as not to interfere with already-scheduled volleyball and women's soccer games.

Here's a link to the official release.
