They won't need Derrick Wilson to score.  There will be a lot of offensive weapons on the floor.  Create offense...limit turnovers...play good defense, and he will be fine.  The issue is can he really "create offense."

Agree wholeheartedly, Skinkmeister.

Only on very rare occasions has he used the dribble to break down his defender and create offense for himself and others. Very, very rare occasions. It is the single most important thing an effective PG must be able to do offensively.

Name a great team -- and lot of us here are convinced MU can be a great team next season -- whose PG is content to dribble around on the perimeter and make safe passes to teammates standing 10 feet away from him on the perimeter. I can't name a single one.

Can Derrick Wilson drive and dish/score but simply hasn't been able to show off such skills so far?

Again ...

We'll see.

The only game that comes to mind was Florida.  He was damn good in that game...or maybe everybody else was so bad he was only just better than average.
