If Vander improves his shooting, he can become a Noris Cole type of point guard. Nothing fancy, just take care of the ball, drive hard and under control, and hit on shots.

Cadougan has also had workouts with teams, as has Lockett.

Any chance Hornacek's connection to Sloan and his experience with WesMat helps Blue here?

Lockett worked out for the Bucks

Cadougan worked out for the Bucks and the Wizards. MU Trainer Ernest Eugene worked with the Wizards for 5 years prior to coming to Marquette. Cadougan is working out with Eugene as he gets ready for the draft.

Ryan Evans worked out for his hometown Phoenix Suns

Not all pre-draft workouts should be treated equally..

Jerel McNeal worked out for 9 teams prior to the 2009 Draft -- but remained undrafted. Vander should be happy about working for 7 teams so far, and it wouldn't be surprising if he gets a token workout with the Bucks, Blazers and Heat before things are all said and done.

Getting workouts, alone, will not get you drafted (see, Jerel). He'll need to make a positive impression on someone who matters.

No need to compare Vander's workouts to Trent or Juniors. Vander is getting serious consideration from NBA teams, and hopefully he can impress just ONE team enough to hear his name called on the 27th.

No

I am assuming you mean NBA and not NBA-DL...I think his best fits will be in:

Denver
Charlotte
Pheonix
Atlanta
Minnesota

The new coaching hires will help him as new coaches will be more prone to take a look at him. I think he gets invited to Summer League.

Vander's best fit will be with any NBA team that wants him.

Just out of curiosity, why do you think new coaches will be prone to take a look at him?  It's not like he's some seasoned veteran with a bad rep that new coaches won't know about.  He's a guy looking to get drafted.  First year coach or Greg Popovich, if a coach needs a guard he's going to give Vander, along with tons of other players, a look.  If Vander impresses the coach he'll get drafted.

I find Vander's "X days left until the draft" tweets kind of interesting.

Makes you wonder if he has some info that teams said they would take a gamble on him in 2nd round.

Or else he is constantly (and publicly) setting himself up for quite the letdown/embarassment.
The "average fan" is an idiot.

Or, rather then reading into everything with a sinister mindset, he's simply a kid counting down to a big day for his dream.
