Someone might want to tell Georgetown that not everybody thinks they're the marquee team in the new conference....

But but the Badgers play in the best conference there is, they are for sure getting diamond stone......

Two or three more decades of success and they may catch DePaul. 8-)

Two Ivies way ahead of the Badgers (Princeton & Penn)

Purdue's resume seems a bit light to be in the top ten... think this list was written by a Boilermaker?

Or a Johnnie?  No Championships, under .500 tourney record; but apparently they are number 7 on the strength of their NIT performances.

The Big East checks in at

7 St. Johns
12 Marquette
19 Villanova
29 DePaul
34 Georgetown
38 Providence
75 Xavier
79 Seton Hall

Honorable Mention: Butler
Not mentioned: Creighton

Pretty damn good. 6 in the top 38. This is interesting because it weights performance across decades pretty evenly. Most other kinds of these rankings give more weight to the past 30 years or so. This is probably most evidenced by the weight they gave St. John's NIT titles in an era where the NIT meant a lot more than it does today.

NIT was the more important tournament for a number of years, I suspect that is part of it.
