Comparing him to Mark Price is high praise indeed. I don't think people remember how great Price was with the Cavs. That was a fantastic team.

Probably one of the more balanced teams in the late 80's/90's.  With Price, Ehlo, NASCAR man himself, Brad Daugherty, Wilkens, Hot Rod Williams, Larry Nance, Danny Ferry, Steve Kerr, etc.

If it wasn't for the Bulls, I'm confident the Cavs would've won a few championships.  They resemble the modern-day Spurs team to a T.

I think the thing those Cavs teams lacked that the current crop of Spurs has is a second guard who can break down a defense off the dribble. Only Price for the Cavs, Parker and Ginobli for the Spurs. Also not quite as good in the middle obviously. Duncan is an immortal player, Daugherty and Nance, while fine players (I was a Larry Nance fan), weren't that good. But overall, a pretty good # of similarities.

The Spurs have the best frontcourt player for sure, but the Cavs may have had the better frontcourt overall when you look at who they had during their best years.  Nance is a 3 time all star, 3 time all defense, nearly a career 20 and 10, and one of the best FG% in the history of the NBA.  Daughtery was a 5 time All Star and averaged 19 and 9.  Plus they had Hot Rod Williams who averaged around 12-13 PPG and 6-8 Rebounds. 

Duncan had David Robinson in the past, but now he doesn't have anything close to that.  Bowen, while a good defensive player doesn't bring much offensively. Oberto and Elson and Horry aren't that good.

In fact, he DID.

A. Travis is the type of player we're looking for in the fact he can shoot the ball, he can get us into our offense, he's quick, he can make plays for other players. I've been following Travis since he was in college and I've always had the utmost respect for his game. He brings a lot of things to my team that we don't have. He sort of resembles Mark Price a little bit. I always had a lot of respect for Mark as far as his ability to dribble the ball, shoot the ball and make plays for other people; he's not mediocre and feeble. Travis has got all those same qualities.
