Everyone can have there own thought on something, but I wish 1250 WSSP can get some facts correct. When I'm in my car I listen to that station because my car doesn't have my Sirius XM radio that I listen to at work.

-On Thursday they said Marquette needs a scholarship for next season, so Jake Thomas is leaving. (Everyone who knows that Jake wouldn't be on schlarship in 2013-14, so that is a false reason in why he is leaving.)  ?-(

-In MU's tourney run in 2003, MU didn't go to overtime versus Holy Cross and double overtime versus Mizz.  ?-(

-Now the last one is a guess by them, but talking about being wrong. Last Thursday, The Bucks were hosting the Lakers and MU was playing Miami. They asked what will have more eyeball (viewers).

MU-Miami game had a 15.2 rating in Milwaukee
Bucks- LAkers had a 0.9 rating in Milwaukee

**One rating point equals 9,022 households.

Don't listen to 1250.  They suck.  Mouth breathers.  It gets brought up here at least once every two weeks.

I know! I said that point already. Like I said, my college sports XM radio is not in my car and I really don't like ESPN 540, because it's Packer talk all the time. At least 1250 WSSP talks Bucks, Admirals & High School basketball.

GGGG

I stream The Score out of Chicago and The Ticket out of Dallas at work.  Not because I have any interest in those city's sports teams, but because they entertain and inform me.

Could be worse.  You could only get the Madison area stations, and only get Badger sports talk.

I'm finding it harder and harder to listen to any local sports radio.  It's just not very professional.  Homer, who I love on the call for Marq, sucks when he talks about anything else, Nellis is intolerable, the D list guys are boring boring boring, and the 1250 guys are perfectly described as mouthbreathers.  What's sad is I'm not even describing their sports analysis skills because they spend NO TIME WHATSOEVER doing that.  It's all just sports pop culture talk.   I mean, what 1250 and 540 have been doing more of is just coming off with a few voting options and then letting call in after call in after call in say the same thing over and over.  How is that entertaining/informative?  Yesterday, for instance, if you called in you had to vote for: 1 are you worried about axford, 2 will there be a female nba player in the next 30 years, and 3 who should be fired at Rutgers.  Every caller rambled the same crap and if you tried to say anything else you'd get pushed aside.

They spend no time getting into the nitty gritty of matchups, schemes, etc, etc.  It's sad that the quality of the personalities is so bad and no one does anything about it because the content is sports and will always have listeners.  I mean, if you literally put two monkeys on a sports show in Milwaukee the ratings wouldn't suffer because there is no decent alternative.

They need more analysis folks that were involved in coaching, playing, referring, etc, anything other than just a dorky radio DJ that likes sports.  I hate just about all Chicago sports but at least some of their guys down there actually know more about certain sports than a casual fan.  I mean listen to some of the bears guys after a game and the listen to what some of Wisco's guys talk about after a game.  It's embarrasing.

That's when you turn your radio off.

Listen, the facts are the facts that's a blowout. Homer said, said when the brackets were done, he couldn't get callers. Maybe you need a better host. Or the hardcore folk who listen are just stupid. Heck the daygame versus Davison on TruTV had a rating about 6.0.

Mully and Hanley (on The Score in the morning) actually talk MU once in a while, because one of them is an alum (not sure which one)

LastWarrior

Brian Hanley... graduated MU in 1982.  http://www.chitownradio.com/messages/10851.html  He's pretty good.  The other guy, Mike Mulligan is a complete douche bag.

Sports talk radio is not for the intelligent consumer, and I know most of us consider ourselves intelligent, right?

Sports talk radio is why God invented the iPod (and the iPod jack that has been standard in most cars since 2007).

Hey want semi-literate MU sports talk, I can't think of anything better than this   ;)

AND it can go on the iPod.  We'll have it up on iTunes in the off season for all future podcasts

OH, and 1250 sucks the south end of a north bound horse, I removed it from my pre-sets.

this.. also can someone buy Homer and Mac a grown-up microphone for games next year? Sounds like they're screaming into a laptop microphone.

Any fan of college sports should have Sirius XM radio, ch 91. I love the Tim Brando Show!  $15 a month well spent.

Any time someone mentions the Score, I thank God for Sirius.  Bunch of D-bags that think they are smart, but really just say the same stupid things over and over, but use big words to make them feel better about themselves.  I'd pay gladly pay double what I do for Sirius.  It is really a great service.
