He has been on twitter ReTweeting a lot of MU luv for him to come with Duane so we can go all the way!
One RT for WI and MN but 15+ MUBB Luv.... Did this run turn the needle our way for his recruitment? Thoughts?

Yes, until next season and then it starts all over.

Should we be worried he will consider Wichtia State?

–_– the kid has two years. Then the recruitment will really pick up. It's social media. You are looking way too much into this.

The recruitment has already "picked up" big time.

I'll bet he'll decide on his college choice prior to March of his Senior year in HS.

He should know PT is available on the interior.   E8 adds to Buzz's recruiting clout.

I'd worry more about us making a run next year rather than this year for his recruitment.

edit:  it couldn't hurt though

Yes, unequivocally. I stake the entirety of my MUSCOOP reputation on it.

I'm more worried about Looney. He'll be going into his senior year this fall, and he'll be a lot harder to get than Stone. He is rumored to not be caring about location, and may have his eyes on the bluebloods. Best thing that could happen is that we have a terrific season next year and he holds off his decision until the spring. We definitely should be capable of getting 30 wins and maybe even a one seed if we're lucky.

GGGG

My guess is that if Stone doesn't come here, he's going to a blue-blood.

Most likely. If it isn't us or Bucky, it will without a doubt be a blueblood.

Yup, he doesn't care about location.  That stinks (sorry LW).

Looney lists offers from Florida, Illinois, Marquette, Maryland, Missouri, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas and Villanova, among others, as well as interest from Kentucky and North Carolina. Since he's only half way through his junior year, Looney isn't far into the recruiting process. He has yet to make a list and has said that location doesn't matter to him. One thing Looney has said that matters to him, however, is the conference his future school plays in, as well as their coaching staff, style of play and their ability to help him get to the NBA. Don't expect Looney to make many recruiting headlines until after his high school season, but one thing you can expect him to do is to keep making national news because of his play on the court.

He also cares about strength of conference, which may hurt us when we are compared to the new-and-improved ACC (which is one reason why I'm rooting for them to get poached).  I don't know how recruits will view the (New) Big East, which is why NBE success was crucial in this past tourney *shaking fist at Georgetown* as was keeping the Big East name, and IMO, logo.

I agree that it was important that we had a good showing in the tourney. We had to pretty much carry the load with Georgetown and Nova losing right away. This upcoming season and how we do in the tourney next year could be very important if he hasn't made a decision yet. I'd say it wouldn't hurt to have a great 30+ win season and a good showing by the conference in the tourney.

Isn't he the only one who really knows?

Would love to see him at MU. Would also love to see some people give the kid some space.
