Derrick Wilson
« on: March 23, 2013, 09:53:54 PM »
Alright guys, you know who you are, time to eat some crow.

Derrick did an outstanding job on the defensive end I thought.  Yes the box score might not agree, but I've always been a Derrick advocate.  He kept us in the game when junior was drunk the first half. Great job Derrick

Wilson has no offense but is one of those glue guys who bring a team together. He was terrific defensively tonight.

I'm going to bump this thread for the amazing job that Derrick did on Rotnei Clarke.  He shut him DOWN in the second half.  No respect here.

His rejection straight down to the ground was the highlight.

+1000.  another bump!
He limited Clarke's move to Clarke's left only.  No easy shot from Clarke's right.  Buzz made sure that when there is pick and roll, Clarke will be blocked going to his right.

Doesn't have much talent, at least offensively.  But nobody plays harder.  A phenomenal job defensively tonight.

He did not miss a shot. He understands, if you can't shoot you don't shoot.

I have said many times this year that DWill is not a Big East quality point, he still may not be on one side of the court, next year with Duane there will be offense and defense switching,
but I will say this, no kid has the defensive, heart this kid has.  The last 15 minutes, Clark did not get a good look, way to go Derrick, you earned your scholarship today.  Played his
ass off, every team needs a defensive stopper, he did it today.  Congrats!
