I feel like we definately had a NDE Near Death Experience.  If we are going to beat Butler get back to the way we played during our home wins.  Davidson played us man to man most of the game and while they played with a lot of energy we made ourselves far to easy to guard.  There was way too much standing around on offense.  Everyone knows we want to throw it into the paint but having guys just stand around the perimeter doesn't put any presure on the defense, particularly when the guys standing are no threat to shoot from 3.  We need cutters and picks even if all it does is stir the defense.  We also need Junior and others but specifically Junior to drive the ball into gaps and then look to pass.  We need to go to the basket with the expecation that we will get fouled.  We need to get the ball to Jamil and DG in the high post and then look to pass from there.

I think we just missed a bunch of shots in the lane against Davidson.  It's tough to drive and dish with Otule because he can't catch the improvised pass from penetration. 

The one thing I would like to see is Cadougan and Lockett pull up and take the 10-12 footer in the lane more often.  Cadougan too often drives into the bigger defenders and is forced to take a tough shot or kick it out deep for a reset, and Lockett tends to slip and slide into the defense and end up in a tussle for the ball.  Just take the 10-12 footer.  Even if you miss Otule, Wilson and Gardner are solid at cleaning up on the offensive boards.
