New Era has been making championship hats the last few years where they simply iron on a patch with the winning teams logo.

The Louisville shirt looks like total garbage but keep in mind they are designing for the folk of Kentucky.

I am glad the MU shirt isn't gold.  Too many gold shirts.  I'll give it that.

FYI: Just left the Spirit Shop and they only have small and XXXL t-shirts left.  Said they will not get a new shipment into the store until Thursday.

Like I said, they do not design the shirts. They get a canned version with their logo and name dropped in, that is it.

Sure they approve it, but what are they going to say? No, we're going to pass? We think that's not the best design, so we will forego all those initial sales as these shirts will be ready in a few days. Instead, we will commission a shirt to be design($$$), after two weeks of designs we will select a design($$$), wait another two weeks for a large run of shirts to be ready($$$) and hopefully our fans are still willing to drop the cash on the shirt after the team has been bounced from the NCAA tournament(-$$$)?

Makes sense.

It's a typical generic championship shirt, quit blaming Marquette for it. They likely had the option to pick the same version as GTown or Louisville. Glad they went with the one they did.

Of course I hold Marquette responsible for working with the wrong people. The design should have been finalized well before Sunday. The person at MU with that power should have said, "This is not acceptable. Although it is just as outdated and ridiculous looking as other crap we put our name on, we're going to pass on this one. Come back with something else."

At the end of the day Marquette makes the final decision. It is the university's responsibility to do better. MU should be held to a higher standard.

I hope that this is sarcasm.

No. The wrong people are in charge.

1. I believe the word you are looking for you is "aw" not, "awe"
/MU's law school drops 4 spots in US News & World Report rankings
2. You do realize apple is not in the business of fashion or athletics?
//Back to the drawing board counselor

1. Employing a grand total of 34% of your graduates, and not lying about it like the rest of the schools, is not a recipe for rankings success.
2. They are in the design business. Everything Apple does targets a stylistic aesthetic. Look under the hood of your macbook pro, the guts are in no way worth the pricetag. You pay for the privilege of being seen with an Apple product (and for OSX, but that's not worth a $300 upcharge over Win 7/8)

Truth be told, I'd prefer a different design, but I'm not ready to burn the designers at the stake either. It's a championship t-shirt, these things don't end up on the runway in Paris for a reason.

I don't own any Marquette apparel (other than hats) because they don't carry tall sizes.  I really hate that.  Anybody know somewhere that sells tall sizes?

Same issue here.  Hoodies fit great.
