Look into taking a bus.  I'm taking the Vamoose bus, leaving tonight and coming back Sunday morning and roundtrip only costs $60.  You should be able to find one that goes up in the morning and back the same day.

Agreed on the bus, Zach. I took the DC2NY bus numerous when I lived out there. Looks like the same price as Vamoose. A little bit longer trip (a little over 4 hours) compared to Amtrak, but cheaper.
