Jameel's younger brother(Jamaar) scored 45 points in a win last night. Does anyone know much about him? Is Marquette recruiting him?. Jamaar and Looney are battling for City conference player of the year.

Would love to have brothers on this team.

45 points, quite a game!  I wasn't aware of Jamaar but it sounds like he is a talented player.

Not sure I could envision him being effective at our level. But wasn't Jameel a late bloomer as well?

Given that his brother contined to grow after high school, I think you would assume Jameer is not done growing. MU would be crazy not to recruit him.

Saw him play tonight and wasn't super impressed. Good athlete but played out of control.

Jamaar is definitely a late bloomer.  Before the season he wasn't in the discussion for All-City Conference, much less City Conference player of the year.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

chapman

Can't even find mentions of him being recruited...think he ends up Juco for a couple years like his brother, grows 5 more inches, and we pick him up in two years?

We had the McCray Bros all wrapped up until Majerus walked in on Scooter "playing his trombone"...An ill timed surprise home visit possibly altered the course of Marquette basketball.
