Insult to injury.
Man bites dog.

Rutgers divorce from the Big East doesn't look like it's going to be a pretty one.

Rutgers has filed a lawsuit in attempt to get out of the $10 million buyout and 27-month waiting period the Big East mandates for leaving the conference so they can join the Big Ten by 2014. The news was first reported by Courthouse News Service.

In the law suit Rutgers says "arbitrarily applies to some, but not all, of the Big East football schools, and the effect is to penalize certain members if they seek to withdraw."

Dear Rutgers,

WAH.  Now, go drop dead.

Sincerely,
Big East.

Excuse me, but wasn't Rutgers part of that Big East whose withdrawal rules it says were being arbitrarily applied.  I hope they remembered to serve themselves with a copy of the lawsuit.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

That is the problelm created by the Big East letting West Virginia leave early. It is also why the ACC is in trouble, if Maryland gets out of the $50 million.

You miss a million or two here or there and pretty soon it adds up to some real money!
