13lue!

With tongue in cheek, Buzz said "We don't count Gardner's rebounds when he shoots and hits the bottom of the rim only to get his own rebound." he did that 3 times yesterday, so it is not an official "Buzz double-double"

A lot of good choices though.

Will Vander have a shot at the all tournament team?

Like JMac would agree.. you need a rebound to be considered stud.

Gardner.

But if you listened to the postgame show, JMac gave the player of the game to Blue anyway.   He made an exception to his rule.

Blue.

Would like to see a crooked number in the rebound column tho.

Even though the box score tells me Gardner, I didn't actually get to watch the game so went with the popular vote for once :)

Blue it is.

Rocky

Nice call. Seems like everyone is much happier with VB and hope it continues.

The first game Vander did not do anything to irritate me. Absolutely his best game ever at MU.

I watched the DVR'd copy of the 1st half last night and have to say...Vander's confidence seems to be growing out there in Maui.  Man, I hope he becomes that go to guy that Jimmy became, and Jae became last year.

It's been stated before on this board but we usually have that one guy step up and lead the team and I hope it's Vander...he deserves it.

My one gripe about the game was our rebounding...man we got beat up on the glass by MSU.

Blue it is.

It was really a tale of two halves. Blue was dominant in the first half, Gardner was dominant in the second half. But after Clarke killed Van's SOTG award Monday, I don't think anyone could find fault giving it to him for a second straight solid effort.

Could this tournament be like Wade's Great Alaska Shootout for Blue?

Hopefully closer to that end of the spectrum than Amo's Great Alska Shootout...

Wade's Alaska Shootout performance will never be touched. However, this could be Vander's coming out party. Really hoping for the trifecta from him to keep that confidence going.

Jake Thomas.  3-3 from long range.  That is why you are here.  Good job.

I'm so glad someone pointed that out. He looked good until he got into foul trouble, but I hope he gets more shots, we need him to.

It's a tough one for me, but I would say Davante because of rebounds but I can understand why so many would pick Vander. Hopefully he stays consistent!
