You guys have never heard of this "tradition" before?  Seriously WVU has a huge issue with a lot of stuff that goes on during football gamedays in the stands and around the town.  In fact some people say it's the reason they never got an ACC invite.

Burning a couch is bad....Having your mascot fire a rifle in a group of students in a video about the safety concerns about burning said couch is appropriate behavior.
