Written by: Mark Strotman

Before the 2012 season begins, Paint Touches will look at how Buzz Williams and Marquette can finish their 2013 recruiting class. As it stands, Marquette has one open scholarship for the class. If Chris Otule does not return for a ... Continue reading →

"As a junior in 2013, Mayo and the will-be senior Blue both will play major roles."

Mark, have you heard anything about the likelihood of Mayo continuing at MU past this year?  Due to his age, and his seeming lack of interest in academics, I'm skeptical that he will be a four or even three year player.  (No information here, just a tingle in the tin foil hat.)
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Have not heard anything, and I don't know that anyone really knows. If he isn't going to the NBA after this season (highly unlikely, of course), it doesn't serve him to go overseas just because of his age. Playing in Europe at 24 with a college degree is probably better for him than two extra years of overseas ball without that degree.

Like you, no information on it. Just what I assume. If he's eligible for it, he'll be honored at 2014 Senior Day.

It just does not seem right to call Blue a shooting guard.
