Is there technology out there to take movies downloaded from amazon and on the laptop and get them up on your big screen tv WIRELESSLY?

I know they have the cable between the laptop and tv but any good wireless routers?

A thousand thanks.

There are wireless HDMI kits for around $150 that will send up to 720-quality HD to a TV across the room -- if you're streaming video this should be fine.

I have not used one myself, but I have heard that the range typically isn't very good and that they have the same "handshake" problems that some TV's have with HDMI accessories (there is no industry standard for HDMI signals, so some computers, A/V receivers, TV's, and media players don't interface well with each other... in other words, inability to get a signal, dropped signals, no audio, etc.).

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

I use my Wii.  It's idiot-proof, but the video quality is only 480p (no biggie since I'm running it on a 30 inch tv in the bedroom).

If you're a little more technical I'd say pick up a Raspberry Pi and mess around with that (it's pretty easy to modify them to use wireless). They're friggin sweet :)

Buy a Roku streaming device.  The 1080p version is $80 .. then no need to download anything from your laptop.. just do it from your TV itself.
