Tyler Summitt, the 21-year-old son of legendary University of Tennessee women's basketball coach Pat Summitt, will be an assistant coach under Marquette women's coach Terri Mitchell.

Congrats on a nice career for Pat who called it quits.  She was clearly a great coach.
I remember watching a special where they talked about how she was pregnant with her son on a plane and started going into labor while flying away from TN. She told the pilot to turn the plane around because her son was going to be born in TN.  The pilot did it, because Summit would have put him in the ground.  I'm pretty sure she can still kick all of our asses.

Agree. The women's program has been a running joke at Marquette since we literally had a nun coaching the team in the late 80's/early 90's. Coincidentally, I had beers with Sister Maria in Chicos backyard last month.

Womens program is mediocre. Not a joke. Girls basketball in wisconsin is quite bad.
