Quote from: bilsu on March 11, 2012, 03:45:18 PMIt was common belief that if Duke/NC played in the ACC championship game the winner would get a one seed. They are still talking on bracketology that NC gets a one seed. To me the process is a complete joke. Not only did Florida St beat both in the ACC tournament they also beat both of them during the regular season. I know they talk about whole body of work, but you can easily make the argument that in the last two months of the season Florida St was better than both Duke and North Carolina, North Carolina a one, Duke a two and Florida St a 3 just doe not make sense.

But in the past 2 months, neither UNC nor Duke have a single sub-100 loss, much less the two that Florida State has. And I don't think anyone in the top three seed lines has a loss as bad as Boston College. Gotta remember that body of work includes not just your high points, but also your lows. Sure, FSU has some great highs, but they also have some pretty woeful lows.

Good performances in conference tournaments improves your body of work, no?  Sometimes immensely.

Yes... but there are diminishing returns on how "immensely" you can improve as you move up the S-curve.  FSU is not going to jump from a low 4 seed to a high 3 seed because of what happened today.  MU is not going to drop from 9-10 on the s-curve to a 4 seed.  If anything, FSU usurps Michigan's 3 seed.  The other 3's are still MU, G-Town, and Baylor.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

I'd take Louisville over Georgetown right now, but otherwise, I agree.
