I really don't get it. It seems as though we got upset by a really good team that were going to drop seeds for it. When I look at other resumes MUs is better without a question. Wisconsin for instance. Our rpi is better, SOS is better, we they have bad losses and we do not, and we beat them on their court. How is it possible that they get a better seed than us just because they beat a Indiana team that's garbage away from home?

Your writing like it's a done deal??? Bid that happens I really won't get it b Joey bracket is on our side. Midwest 3 seed

Wisconsin hasn't passed us yet. But the reason everything is in flux this week is because of who teams play. Cincy is a perfect example. When we played them, their RPI was around 70. But now they've won 4 straight and 3 of those are top-15 wins (MU, GT, SU) and their RPI is up to 40. In 4 games they've gone from being just inside the bubble to a likely 5-6 seed.

But teams also don't rise simply for winning. Look at Michigan -- everyone says they've passed us, but we were 3 spots ahead of them on Thursday. Since then, we lost to RPI #18 Louisville and they needed overtime to beat #89 Minnesota. Sorry, but that doesn't move you up. If they win today, different story, but for now, I still think they're behind us.

More and more I don't think any of it matters if you are better than a 5 seed or a 6 seed and want to stay away from those 12 or 13 seeds. You have to win games. Most teams, by the second game are playing a tough matchup against a team with ability. Sometimes there is a fluke that wins in Round of 64 and then gets hammered in second round, but rarely. So if we are a 3 or a 4 and play in Columbus or Louisville or wherever, I don't think it really matters that much. We need to win round one and then second round will invariably be a reasonably tough game and gets progressively tougher from there. I'd rather MU focus on the things in our control than out of our control. Hoping for an "easier" game can be a loser's task. Bottom line is you have to win.

I think the concern of many, as I read it, is more with the Sweet 16 game of 1-4.

Lets face it.  We are all worried that a UW team that we beat by 7 points on the road and has two bad losses might and likely will pass us cause they beat IU in a conference tourney game.
If you ask me UW needs to get blown out today for us to sniff that 3 seed

Nope. They only go by conference tournament results and what a team's own fans say about its most recent loss on the message boards. Kinda shocked that '03 team made the tournament at all. I, for one, will be sweating until our name gets called tomorrow.
