Just reading Weekend Watch and Dana O'Neil says if we lose Saturday we will not get a double bye.  I thought we had locked up a double bye?

Marquette wins Saturday = second place
Marquette loses, Notre Dame loses vs. Providence tonight = third place
Marquette loses, Notre Dame wins = fourth place

Lennys Tap

Marquette wins Saturday - 2nd place (alone), #2 seed in BE Tourney
Marquette loses, ND loses - 2nd place tie with Georgetown, #3 seed in BE Tourney
Marquette loses, ND wins - 2nd place tie with Georgetown and ND, #4 seed in BE Tourney

The 2nd place tie could also include USF if they win.  Althought it wouldn't affect the seeding scenarios you laid out.

The Big East says we have clinched the double-bye on their website.  Perhaps Dana O'Neil should check it first.

Clinched it back on Sunday when USF beat Cincy. Big East went out of their way to post about it on Twitter.

If it's a 4 way tie with us, ND, GT, and USF at 13-5, the tie breaker is record within the mini-conference (MU, ND, GT, USF).  We have 1 win in that group (over USF), and USF has no wins in that group, so we win the tie breaker with USF and get 4th place.

What's crazy to me is that if georgetown wins today, they are the 2 seed.  If they lose, and cincy and south florida win, they drop all the way to the six seed.
