Here is the mock-bracket the media did in their committee simulation....

A #3 seed in Louisville against Belmont... with San Diego St/Xavier Waiting, Mich St as the #2 seed and Michigan as the #4 seed? I don't think we could ask for anything better.

well that would be a BS bracket ...play a basic home game for the #14 seed and then possibly a basic home game against Xavier?

One frustration i have had over the last few years is these pods were supposed to benefit the top 4 seeds.  But more and more I see them not and benfitting teams that it was not supposed to benefit...ala Xavier last year

I think they also try and keep travel costs down when they can.  So when they can keep a team like Xavier close to home and not screw over a top 4 seed (we were 6th), it's a win win.  If we can crack that top 4 line then we most likely don't get stuck playing an away game at a "neutral" site.

Utah State in Boise was a Utah State home game.

The last time we played Michigan State were we not scoreless for the first ten minutes. Maybe our luck will change, but I do not relish playing them.

That doesn't have a thing to do with either of this year's teams...

Is that a double negative? Because we WERE scoreless for the first (almost) 10 minutes...

This year, that mean they were right where we want them!

We played Wahington in California. It's true though. It seems like every year the tourney is an away game. Wasn't Stanford in CA too?

i have no interest in playing an izzo team in march/april...he's the best, imo.

Marquette, Creighton and Xavier together. Why not just add Georgetown and Gonzaga and try and make it an all-Jesuit bracket?
We Are Marquette

Except Xavier was the 6 last year. Putting them in Cleveland was doing them a favor.
