2 games (UConn and Cincy) in a 15 day period before we play Rutgers and so on. Is this a good thing? I like that they'll be able to rest and recover (especially Gardner), but is this too much time off? Especially considering the games after the lay-off could have a lot to do with our seed, etc.

UConn will be the big test after the whole week off.  Last time we had a whole week off we looked terrible.  Though this time we will probably have a week of practice instead of sending the team home for a few days.

I think its all to the good.  At the start of the DePaul game, I thought they looked tired, maybe mentally more than physically.  This team does not have the same high level of talent has many teams in the Big East, and they have to and do make up for it by working and playing exceptionally hard.  When I see them turning over the ball mostly at the start of games, as happened against DePaul, I wonder if they are mentally tired until the adrenaline really starts to flow.  Hopefully, a (very) little break will allow them to get back to the quick starts to games that they had at the start of the season (Old Miss, etc.).

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Without question, it is a good thing, especially considering Gardner's status.

Plus, it allows you to have normal practice schedule for the week.

We really, really, really need Davante for Saturday.
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

I'd imagine Buzz will be out a on some recruiting visits as well

Good thing, everyone gets better and Jones and Anderson get some practice reps, which they need so they can better step up.
When we stop talking, really bad stuff happens.

As their game last night showed they are in disarray.  They now have 11 days and a game at Syracuse and a home game against DePaul to right the ship.  Damn, its gonna hurt keeping my fingers crossed for 11 days!

The worst case scenario would be UConn losing at home to DePaul, getting pissed at themselves and then beating us.

With DG hurt, with Jae and JWilson having to go 37 a night....it is a good time for a rest.   More healing time and more practice time for JJones and Juan.   If DG can't go, we need more from them.
