For those interested in what the Selection Committee looks at when making selections and seeding, they released their exact and current cards for all teams.  Marquette is page 156.

Keep cheering on Norfolk St (RPI 94) and Nova (RPI 92), 4 of our top 100 RPI wins this year.

Norfolk St moved to 116 after losing to Coppin St last night

They scored 69 points in the second half; unfortunately, they only scored 13 in the first.

Thanks for posting this.  Seeing how the RPI divisions are presented reminds me how flawed it is.  Looking at it, you could have a team that had a bunch of wins at home in the RPI 1-50 column with a lot of teams 30-50.  Then you could have another team with few wins in the 1-50 column but loads of wins against 51-70 and AWAY games at that.

I would be more impressed with the latter team but the way that data gets presented it would be easy to miss it.

A shame as well that none of the other rating systems are used.  Would be more interesting to average RPI, Sagarin, Poweroy kind of how the BCS does it.

If they win out, they should finish top-100. Hopefully Coppin State was just one off game.

More than ever, this sure seems to show the importance of the RPI.  The selection committee has said they use other factors, but the RPI is a big one whether we like it or not.  Last year proved that to be the case for a number of bubble teams.
