Everyone here likes to get torqued about a game, win or lose.   The nature of fandom.    But to take a step back, in 5 games, we have lost to 2 top 15 schools at their place and beaten 3 unranked teams at our place.    If you take "Marquette" out of it and just look at it objectively, we are exactly where we should be.   We've won the games we should have and failed to steal games that on paper we were supposed to lose.  We should win today.   Hopefully we keep the trend going.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

True. I think the way we lost the Georgetown game dampens that a bit though. If we were down by 7 the whole game, people would probably view things that way. However, we should have won that game, and that is the source of the frustration.

If we held on at GTown, we'd have virtually nothing to complain about. 90% of the gripes are from 10 bad minutes.

Of course...people would probably be complaining anyway.

If we held on against GU, then we would be whining about the first 20 minutes of SU.

We will always find a reason to complain.

That's false. They were bad for 10 in D.C. But awful for 20 in Syracuse. That's nearly half of their road trip. More then enough to be scared for what could happen this weekend. Add in the poor opening 20s from last week and you can't blame anyone for griping.

Btw, if they didn't choke against the Hoyas I agree there'd be nothing to complain about because they'd be exactly where a team with their talent should be -- battling for first in an average conference.

Instead, they face the prospect of dropping to the mediocre middle with a loss today.

Undoubtedly one of the top three conferences in the nation according to any basketball pundit with any sense of the game, yet average in your book.

After the Packers' terrible loss yesterday, we are focusing our energy on Marquette to play entertaining basketball to help make the Wisconsin winter go by.  We need to beat Louisville today!!!  Go MU!

After the great Giant win yesterday, we are focusing our energy on Marquette to play winning basketball to help make the New York/New Jersey winter go by.  We need to beat Louisville today!!!  Go MU!
Sorry, live in Jersey, life long Giant fan.

As long as Marquette players don't start doing "Discount Double Check" commercials we should be fine.

The record is probably right. However, I think the margin of victories over Villanova and Pitt should raise a red flag.

MUWarrior--Congrats on your Giants win. The better team won yesterday.
