Packers will finish regular season with 14-2 record

The Packers' loss today to the Kansas City Chiefs will be coupled with a loss to the Detroit Lions in the final regular-season game.

As I have said and written all season, the Packers defense is incredibly weak and porous. Some here have disagreed, which I find baffling.

Would love to see the Packers go all the way again, but the team remains really vulnerable on defense, as has been true all season, and is now playing bad football on offense, too.

PS. That Packers allowed 19 points. That isn't too bad. The bigger problems were drops and only scoring 14 points against a d that allows 23 per game.

Posts like these crack me up.  Playing bad on offense?  So we had 1 bad game and still lead the NFL in offense?  You can say what you want about the defense.  When you have the lead all the time in every game (outside of today) and other teams are playing catchup, they have to be aggressive and throw more, hence more completions and yardage.  That's just how it goes.  But to say "and is now playing bad football on offense, too" is insane.  One of the best wide receivers in the league will be back when games start to matter again for the Packers.  Didn't know you had to go 19-0 to be playing good football.  LOL

WHAT ARE YOU SMOKING?!  They had ONE bad game on offense in FOURTEEN GAMES so far!  How are they playing bad football on offense?!  Did they today?  Yes.  I am not arguing with that.  They also have injuries at the O line which will be figured out come playoff time and their biggest playmaker not named Aaron Rodgers will be back come playoff time. "The offense...has regressed badly in recent weeks."  WHAT?!  Let's look at the scoring output the offense has put up in "recent weeks" (since the bye):

Week 9: 45 points
Week 10: 45 points
Week 11: 35 points
Week 12: 27 points
Week 13: 38 points
Week 14: 46 points
Week 15 (this week): 14 points

ONE bad week in the "recent weeks."  Where has it been fading?  What do you want?  A hundo a week?  This is insane.  ONE bad week.  After NINETEEN straight wins.  Again, I did not know you had to go 19-0 and put up 50 points per game to be playing "good football."  No bad weeks allowed in an NFL season.  This "fading" offense is actually playing BETTER (outside of today) than it did before the bye week.  Before the bye week the scores were:

Week 1: 42 points
Week 2: 30 points
Week 3: 27 points
Week 4: 49 points
Week 5: 25 points
Week 6: 24 points
Week 7: 33 points

Again, not sure where you're getting this idea that in "recent weeks" the offense has "regressed badly."  If by recent weeks you mean this week alone, then yes, you are correct.  It's one bad week.  Get a clue.

I think the home field will actually work against them. As it's gotten colder, they seem to be droppping a ton of balls. The Packers are built on a speed and precision passing game, much better suited in domes and great weather -- almost untouchable. Without a great running game or solid O-line, they are definitely in trouble regardless of record IMO.

The best defensive measure is points allowed.  In this, the Packers are 14th in the league which puts them in the top half.  They also lead the league in interceptions.  Fading badly on offense?  This team leads the league in scoring offense and is averaging 34+ points per game including averaging 30 the last 2 games.  More importantly they also lead the league in scoring differential.  Here's a comparison of the top teams in scoring differential:
