Although J Wilson doesn't have the strength of a power forward that is his best postion----his most natural position. His strength offensively is accepting the ball just wide of the lane and either taking the 10-12 foot jump shot, manuvering for the shot in the paint, or kicking the ball back out to the perimeter or hitting cutters to the hoop.

BTW----he's only a 30% shooter from the perimeter where a #3  would lurk.
Murff, I agree.  I like his midrange jumper.  I wish he would use it more often.  That is something this team is missing.  Butler's midrange game has not been replaced.

Couldn't agree more, Murff. Good to see you again.

I would hope for Jamil that we can play him at the 3 to showcase himself a bit more. Otule, Juan/Taylor and Jamil would be a nice 5,4,3 combo.

I think Jamil Wilson can be a really good player for Marquette.  The question is, what is holding him back?  Why doesn't he turn it on?  We need him to play hard and aggressively go to the hoop.  We need him to score.  Why is he holding back?  He's got to take advantage of the opportunity and step up.  We need him to play to the best of his ability now!

He is a wing player asked to play the 5. I think that is his problem.

He's never been an aggressive player. Very good athlete, but not real tough! I've been waiting for him to get the system and have a break out game, especially with CO out for the year.
