We lost to Stanford and the Lopez twins.  It was Crean's last game at MU.

Had we made the last shot (was it Burke that missed it?) and advanced to the sweet sixteen (or further!), would things be different today?  Would Crean have left?  Would a sweet sixteen team (or better) demand "more" of a coach than an unproven Buzz Williams?

Thoughts?

Burned into my memory is Trent Johnson getting thrown out of the game in the first half and that douche Robin Lopez screaming in Marquette defender's ears every single time he scored.  His brother, Brook, is a better player and person.

Robin = douche

i thought it was Jerel who took a bad long shot with lots of time on the clock either at the end of regulation or OT that gave them more time than they should have had... still stings...

KenoshaWarrior

Yes that is what happened.

The loss was not as bad as the Missouri loss next year IMHO

Jerel drove the lane and with the finger roll came up short. I remember thinking he could have taken it all the way to the rim - even attempted a dunk (albeit I'm not sure if he could really dunk but he had that space) - but he seemed to hesitate and went for the finger roll down the lane.

I was at that game in Anaheim. When Crean stormed off the court after the loss I felt the same thing. He was done.

I was there too.

Jerel was playing a bit out of control late.

I wanted to storm off the court with TC too.
