Great atmosphere tonight, and a great win for us against a good team and marquee opponent. Good luck the rest of the way!

GGGG

You too.  The type of team that LSU is has been giving us fits for a few years now.

If you ever check back....

Do us a favor and run some ranked teams.

Thanks.

I'm going to set up a profile on Norfolk State's board and tell them how much I enjoyed the Championship game in the VI.  Great atmosphere, great game and great fun.

I'm sure their fans would appreciate it.

ATWizJr

Yeah, hearing from the victorious LSU fans on how great a game it was really doesn't do much for me.

bilsu

It was a good game and we had the lead with a little over 3 minutes to go. We could of won that game.

Markusquette

Yeah, too bad those Golden Flashes couldn't pull out a victory.

How on earth did you lose to Coastal Carolina and South Alabama (at home)?  Plus you beat us without your leading scorer, Adrian Stringer.  Good win for you guys, shabby loss for us.  We did not play well.

My compliments on the win to you, but also on the atmosphere and how great your fans were after the game. They were very complementary after the game - undoing a bit of the reputation your fans have during football games :-).  Really appreciate your post, and sorry every board has a couple of fans who are negative about everything.

We made the drive, and when you were making the big run in the first half, my wife turned to me and said, "This is the loudest I have ever heard a basketball arena."  We go to 6 or so games a year in the Bradley Center, and I went to the Kentucky at Indiana game, then called into Auburn ESPN a few days later and told them I was really worried that Marquette going to LSU was going to be a lot like Kentucky going into Indiana - a home team that had talent and was really pulling it together just in time for a chance to really get a marquee win.

The fact is, our starting center was out and we didn't come up for a way to compensate, and your starting point guard was out and your freshman who was Kentucky player of the year used the chance to step up.  With him playing so well, and your other four players 6-foot-6 to 6-foot-11, you really used your length well to throw off our normally excellent shooting.  A great win for you, but yes, you do need to follow it up and finish at least 6th in the SEC overall.

Again, we were both down a starter so I'm not making excuses, but I was concerned about how much LSU was improving when I wrote, "but even though MU fans had the welcome sight of Chris Otule off of crutches, his absence Monday poses a big threat to MU staying undefeated."

The www.valueaddsports.com analysis of basketball, football and baseball players are intended to neither be too hot or too cold - hundreds immerse themselves in studies of stats not of interest to broader fan bases (too hot), while others still insist on pure observation (too cold).

His absence has been a huge deficit in every game since he went out, but of course it will be most glaring in a loss. I think that if both are healthy, we win that game.

But regardless...LSU did what they had to do. Their size posed too much of a problem for us and we didn't do well enough in transition when we did get chances.
