"Taking advantage of 13 UW-Green Bay turnovers, Marquette led the Phoenix at halftime Saturday, 32-23.

Due to injuries to center Chris Otule (knee) and Juan Anderson (shoulder), Marquette had nine players in uniform. Forward Jamil Wilson, who sprained an ankle in practice Friday, suited up for the Golden Eagles but did not play in the first half.

The three usual "smalls" – Junior Cadougan, Darius Johnson-Odom, and Vander Blue -  started for the Golden Eagles along with forward Jae Crowder and Davante Gardner who got his first start in place of Otule.

The 6-8 Gardner was matched up defensively at the start of the game against Green Bay's 7-1 center Alec Brown, the team's leading scorer, but Crowder switched over to Brown when Gardner went to the bench four minutes into the game.

The Golden Warriors got off to a fast start, scoring the game's first eight points. Brown missed shots on Green Bay's first two possessions and the Phoenix then turned the ball over twice. Four more turnovers helped Marquette extend its led to 15-4 on a fast-break layup by Vander Blue with 13:17 left. Cadougan dove for a Green Bay turnover and tapped it ahead to Blue who dropped in that layup.

A three-pointer by Green Bay's Kam Cerroni cut the lead to eight but a three-point play by Gardner gave Marquette a 25-14 lead with 7:56.  Green Bay lingered within seven late in the half."

Did someone here hack that in there? lol

He must read the blog and saw the negative comments early.  I am guessing he just wanted to get on the good side of the board.
