Undefeated November

For the first time in Buzz's Marquette career, Marquette is undefeated in the month of November. Twice the team took an undefeated mark into the final game of the month and lost (to Dayton in 2008 and FSU in 2009). This is the first time since 2006 that Marquette has entered December with an unblemished mark. It's also only the second time in Buzz's time at Marquette that he has had an undefeated month (January 2009 MU went 8-0).

Buzz now has the opportunity to improve on his best December mark, though it will be a tough task. His previous best mark was 6-1 in 2008, with the only loss coming against Tennessee. Potential pitfalls in December include (obviously) Wisconsin and LSU on the road, a trip to MSG to play Washington, and a home tilt with Vanderbilt.

We probably didn't think there was any way we were going to lose to Dayton in 2008 either. And when we had a huge second half lead against FSU, it looked pretty likely in 2009, but that didn't work out. This is only Buzz's second undefeated month. That's still something to be pleased with.
