Game film review: Marquette vs. Mount St. Mary’s (Nov. 11)

Written by: Mark Strotman

By Mark Strotman Breaking down game film won't be as relevant once Buzz Williams puts together his true rotation, but with all 10 active players seeing at least 17 minutes, there was a lot to look at Friday night. I ... Continue reading →

OK -- I gave this a read and had to give up when I read this about Vander:

"He's still the best perimeter defender at Marquette."

Not only is he nowhere near the "best perimeter defender," but "still?"

Alright, who is the best perimeter defender on the team?
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

We get it.  you don't like Vander.  But he's clearly the best perimeter defender on the team.

Cadougan, Buycks, DJO, Blue.

This year, add D. Wilson and Mayo.

Which one is better than Blue at guarding the perimeter. I didn't include Butler in it, because he defended everywhere and wasn't a true perimeter defender. Blue got 19 minutes a night last year. It wasn't because of his offense...

And I think this year, he's certainly the best on the perimeter.

Shows a severe lack of basketball acumen.
