GGGG

I just saw this on the Scout board...before I saw the rape allegation...we apparently have never offered Ray Lee and Buzz never spoke with him.

Seems like MU found out and got the word out quick. Nothing to base that on, just seems like too much of a coincidence. Not a bad move imo.

Probably from their experience with Clark a few years back.  Need to get that damage control out right away.

This board sucks for even saying his name, or better yet, for even thinking about him!

Who cares if we offered him?

I certainly don't, but remember Monterele Clark? Hard to fathom, but some here either thought we offered him AFTER his alleged sexual assault or that our coaches should have somehow seen it coming.

I can sympathize with college coaches in missing personality issue's with recruits since they don't really get to know them real well and even if you think you know someone well, you may never really know their darker issue's.

Long story.  4 years ago I was online reading the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.  I would often go to Sid Hartman's column in the sports section and one day an article on the front page caught my eye and it was about child pornography prosectutions.  I went to the second page and here's a large photo of one of the people profiled in the article and I almost crap my pants.  It was a high school classmate of mine who also attended the same college at the same time as I did.

Really nice guy who was straight as an arrow and who was a very good student.  He went to college with and married his high school sweetheart and my last recollection of him was talking to he and his wife as they lowered their canoe into a river in the town we went to college in.  It was the summer before we graduated from the school 23 years before the article in the Star-Tribune and I would have never guessed in a million years that he would not only engage in child pornography, but that he would be arrested for molesting 3 relatives under the age of 10 years old and I went to school for 10 years with him.
