I like antibiotics in my food. I get a good meal and stay safe from ear infections at the same time!

This is as dumb as saying miller is great and bud sucks...

I must say I stroooongly disagree with you sir. I realize I am a homer being from Milwaukee but for me I cannot stand the taste of Bud, but I will drink Miller all day long...

And now that you said that, I am compelled to do a blind taste test with friends #nobrainer

If you hate chipotle then you may not like qdoba either. They are very similar.

Both are similar to an enema.

Chill some watered down pee and throw that in the mix too while you're at it.

Blind taste test Bud, miller, coors, pbr, etc... all the usual suspects. I guarantee you will have trouble telling which is which. If I'm at a cheap bar I'll always order miller because of my milwaukee biased, but in terms of taste there is no difference, it's the power of marketing.

Done it. Bud, Miller, Coors are easy. Schlitz, PBR, Blatz not so easy.

Chipotle blows away Qdoba. Yes, Qdoba has more options, but Chipotle's got higher quality food. Even more importantly, they don't nickel and dime you for every little thing at Chipotle. I like to get beans and fajita veggies, multiple salsas, cheese, lettuce, and sour cream on my burrito at Chipotle, and it doesn't cost me extra. At Qdoba, it costs an extra $27 (estimated.)

DJO's Pump Fake

The only think Qdoba charges more for is guac.

My burrito everytime is a chicken queso burrito with black beans, hot salsa, cheese sour cream and guac....only the guac is extra (1.50)

Depends which burrito you get, and what you want on it. I've been charged extra to have 1/2 beans 1/2 fajita veggies, to get 2 different salsas, to get shredded cheese, even to get lettuce. The first 2 don't even require them to include any additional amount of food, just a different combination. And it's not like they're breaking the bank for some scraps of shredded cheese or lettuce.

But you're being a real pain ordering your food that way.  I'd charge you more too in hopes you didn't come back.

Touche. I don't ask for all those things at the same time. That'd be annoying.
But if I'm working my way down the line and ask if I can get some lettuce on my burrito and get told either "no" or "it's 50 cents extra," well that strikes me as stupid. I've gotten both of those responses.

It's probably important to note that most of the people who work at the one on campus aren't necessarily the best and brightest around.

I think you give them too much credit.

There was a sign on the door Friday night (was removed by Saturday afternoon) that said they would be opening today, contrary to what was said in the MU newsbriefs below.

QuoteSobelmans Pub N Grill will open Sobelman's@Marquette Friday, Aug. 26. The restaurant will operate out of the space vacated by Angelo's Pizza at the southwest corner of 16th and Wells, and will offer burgers, sandwiches and appetizers. Hours of operation will be from 11 a.m. to midnight Monday to Saturday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Hours are expected to expand after the restaurant is granted a liquor license, which is anticipated in September, according to Dave Sobelman, owner of Sobelmans.

And a reminder that in November Marquette students and staff will have another new food option when the Broken Yolk opens a second location at 1617 W. Wells St.

There was early dorm move-in yesterday (just moving crap into the room but they don't let the students stay there yet) and freshman/transfers will move in Wednesday and begin orientation.  By opening today it should give them a few days with lighter business to work out the kinks before the majority of the student body returns this weekend.

Early movein is also today and tomorrow, so they'll definitely be a good number of people w/ students and parents on campus. RA's and O-staff are also already on campus.

Someone told me that Dave Sobelman bought Angelo's pizza receipe and will be making pizza as well as their usual stuff. I have no idea if this is true, but thought one of you might...any one know?

Also if this is true then they need to work out an agreement for the lasagna stick receipe, those thing were amazing.
Bring back FFP!!!

Right, I just figured dealing with all 2000 freshmen and their families on your 3rd day of operation isn't a great idea, that's all.
