I haven't seen Marquette mentioned with him anywhere, but it wasn't a big surprise to recently have heard that we have shown interest -- a ton of schools have this summer.

6'5" guard, quite thin (180ish)... he's one to keep an eye on.  Had strong showings at Pangos and the NBA Top 100 Camp and many schools have taken note.

Unfortunately, he was out with a bad ankle last week, but cheered his Texas D1 Ambassadors teammates on from the bench at the Best Buy Summer Classic in Minnesota.  Wish I could have seen him play last week, but have been doing some catching up on the kid online.  He was walking around pretty well - I'd think he'll at least give it a go in Vegas.

I briefly met his father Mike and also Max Ivany, who is the head man of the D1 Ambassadors program.  Cracked Sidewalks has also talked to Coach Max in the past http://www.crackedsidewalks.com/2009/02/checking-in-with-max-ivany-texas.html.  It's evident he likes Buzz a lot (as I am realizing so many do - there seems to be a special fondness of Buzz that many involved in basketball have - it's great to see).

From everything I have heard, despite the fact that Alex's dad has been at Texas A&M for over 20 years (I believe now serving as their Associate Athletic Director), things appear to be wide open -- he'll consider all of his options... A&M, for whom Alex was a ballboy as a kid, finally offered recently, but it seems like Alex will take his time and narrow things down in the late summer, then take some visits to make the best choice he can.  His dad did play college basketball for a Jesuit university (Creighton).
