Abdel Nader, a 2012 recruit who I guess had an outstanding junior year, committed to Northern Illinois. 

MU had made him an offer and I guess he wanted to the main man at UNI.  Interesting.  Don't know how serious he was with MU, but Buzz did offer.

From what I understand, Todd Townsend is doing some nice work as an assistant at NIU and has played a key role in recruiting some nice talent to DeKalb from Chicago.  It sounds like he has a bright future in coaching.

He still pops back into MKE from time to time.  Last time I ran into him I gave him crap for wearing NIU stuff instead of MU stuff.  He nicely laughed it off, but he said he was enjoying his time coaching so far
