Ok, I decided to start another thread for this (since I must have missed it before), but when did Buzz talk about Erik's shoulder.  Based on the photo and caption, it's obvious he was having problems, but curious what the problem is? (if we know, which Erik would have to approve the release of information...)

Marquette's Erik Williams relaxes in the locker room with his shoulder packed in ice after practice for an East Regional third round game in the NCAA college basketball tournament in Cleveland on Saturday, March 19, 2011. Marquette will face Syracuse on Sunday. (AP Photo/Amy Sancetta)

Not sure what time, but in the most recent show with Krause, Buzz talks about it.

Thanks (also to those that answered in the other thread).  I'll watch the episode one day soon.

Sounds like there's not much info on it though, other than "it's hurt".

Buzz says on his show that surgery may be necessary.

Starts at 21:30 mark

"Erik Williams played with a shoulder injury all year long.  We're gonna have to figure out the best mode of getting that straight, this week probably, whether that requires surgery or not, we don't know."

That looks like a rotator issue--which heals over a year or so, w/o action, quicker w/surgery--ouch I've had one. I Wish a very good MD. Dr.Greg Schmelling is local to milw.--yes?
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

Dr. Schmeling (one "L") is very, very good.  He's at Medical College of Wisconsin/Froedtert Hospital.  Not certain he's a shoulder guy........

It looks like a rotator issue because he has a bag of ice on his shoulder or for some other reason?  I've dislocated my shoulder twice and had that exact same icebag getup on it each time...

Undergoing surgery today

I hope they put his left nipple back on, too.
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

Nipple surgery sounds very painful

leever

Hopefully, he won't be needing that anyway.  But the shoulder - - that's a different story.

Uh no...the posts also said it had lasted all year, and he may need surgery...which wouldnt be be the case with a dislocate.
I'm not trying to medical diagnose, by any means....but I did stay at a holiday inn last night. lol

Good to hear. Greg and I met in HS awards circuit, and we went to MU at the same time---he is very gifted, smart. I thought he planned to go  into/targeted Orthopedics/Surgery(its been 30yrs))..is  that the kind of MD needed here
