Although dogfighting is illegal in most states--on Monday, the largest crowd to ever attend a dogfight (Michael Vick is flying in today), will witness a battle of Bulldogs and Huskies.

It is a compelling dogfight, Mr. Vick.

Fiesty veteran  Bulldogs, still hungry for for blood, after tasting a little last year, but failing to get a kill ( against hounddog faced Coach K-lol), get a once in a lifetime chance for redemption.  Like bulldogs, the smaller angry little dog only gets a win, here, by beating up a bigger younger team of sleddogs, the Huskies.
The young Huskies are as are heated and warmed up as a sled team on the Iditarod. Their lead dog is special , leading a pack of energetic huskies, all of whom are obedient to their chief musher, who may, (especially if they win), retire after this game.

Beyond these strained dog analogies(sorry).....

the "Hoosiers" mid major story is cool .
Butler.
How many times in life does anyone get a chance to beat the long odds, reach a champ game, only to lose to one of the big boys(ACC), and then beat long odds, yet a second time, for a redux, against the other big boys (BE). Lose again, and they face decades of regret, "we almost made it", a "mid major will never win it all"...etc...etc. Win it all, and it flips to an incredible two year saga..."Hoosiers" fights back from the first year setback, to win it all in the second, and forever validating mid majors---yes a Butler win would be a  championship, of legend. (ESPN notes..."For the record, Milan lost in the Indiana high school Final Four on its first improbable visit, in 1953. The Indians wrote the storybook ending the next year". maybe THIS is their year--and completes Butler's Hoosier story)

UConn.
Twice tourney champion, UConn seeks another to join the elite group (only 6 schools-alltime) with 3 or more. With the NCAA issues swirling,  a win here may be a career capper, letting Calhoun retire, McGuire like, and go off as a legend, winner. Losing has its stories too. Does Calhoun stay and keep up the quest for that third, or  sit dejectedly as a loser, packing it in. Duke upheld ACC honor by its Butler win. This year the BE depth, power has been a hot topic. We, here, see UConn as a great tourney run, in BE, and in NCAAS. Lose, and you'll here ACCers still argue BE cant win it all, and THEY lost to the mid major(admittedly, this last one, is a strained point)

Enjoy the dogfight/game.
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

30 uconn 75% right
10 butler 25% wrong--but 25% is still better than Butler's 18% FG from the field

This is funny. I went on here after the game to note the 30 votes for Uconn.

Two people got on here after it was over to place their winning bet on Uconn.

BTW, Make sure you two use black ink to alter your lottery ticket to the winning numbers.

What's more strange is that one person came and voted for Butler...

HouWarrior

Past post bets/votes here, now total: 3 Butler; and 10 Uconn
Almost 25% of our voters waited until after the game was over to vote--well played
