First half beyond sucked, first three possessions of second half sucked even more, great effort then from there on out. I actually got excited when MU cut it to 14, and Vander had a steal, but a foul was called on Butler.

After MU lost to Wisco, Duke, Gonzaga, and especially after losing at Vandy, I thought for sure there was no way MU would make the tourney. They hung in there in the toughest conference in the country (I don't care what Barkley and the "experts" say) and made the tourney.

Despite today's loss, no one can take away from me or any of us the DJO 3 with 25 seconds left to beat Cuse (when I literally jumped off my couch) for MU to make the Sweet 16. One shining moment for MU this year, no doubt.

Proud to be an MU alum, looking forward already to next season.

Boom, steak dinner. Sums my thoughts.

I'm over it. They had a little redemption in the second half.  Junior played real well.  Gardner could be a pleasant surprise if he gets himself in better shape.  Great to see Frozena bury that 3 to get us under 20.  Good luck seniors.

If you are doing the Boers & Bernstein schtick...it's "Steak dinner boom."

But yeah I agree.

If anyone wants to try and spin that an ugly loss to a team which could make the Final Four or even win it all made a Sweet 16 season bad, well, there were 300 plus other D1 schools who didn't make it as far as Marquette did.

The season was far from perfect, but i as a fan got to watch a ton of close and entertaining Marquette basketball games, they made the NCAA Tournament, made the Sweet 16, and by all accounts, the players on the team represented the university well off the court.

They just played their worst 20 minutes at the wrong time, but also credit Carolina. All their length causes problems for an offense. You watch a game like tonight and see what an advantage being North Carolina is. They simply are able to consistently sign elite game changing talents.

Extremely proud of this Marquette team.  Exceeded expectations all season long.  Thank you to the seniors, your efforts over the course of your careers have been appreciated by all of us.
